Author Guidelines

Thank you for considering the Uzbek Journal "Problems of Mechanics" for the publication of your research.

The journal publishes original and scientifically significant research in theoretical and applied mechanics, solid and fluid mechanics, computational mechanics, structural engineering, mechanical engineering, transport systems, machinery, materials engineering, and related disciplines.

The journal accepts manuscripts in English, Russian, and Uzbek. Authors are responsible for the accuracy, clarity, grammar, terminology, and overall quality of the submitted text.

Authors must follow these instructions and use the current official manuscript template. Manuscripts that do not meet the journal’s technical, scientific, ethical, or formatting requirements may be returned for correction before editorial assessment or peer review.

Before making a submission, authors are responsible for obtaining permission to publish any material included with the submission, such as photos, documents and datasets. All authors identified on the submission must consent to be identified as an author. Where appropriate, research should be approved by an appropriate ethics committee in accordance with the legal requirements of the study's country.

An editor may desk reject a submission if it does not meet minimum standards of quality. Before submitting, please ensure that the study design and research argument are structured and articulated properly. The title should be concise and the abstract should be able to stand on its own. This will increase the likelihood of reviewers agreeing to review the paper. When you're satisfied that your submission meets this standard, please follow the checklist below to prepare your submission.

Submission Preparation Checklist

Before submitting a manuscript to the Uzbek Journal “Problems of Mechanics”, authors must confirm compliance with all applicable requirements listed below.

• The manuscript is original, has not previously been published in a substantially identical form, and is not currently under consideration by another journal.
• Information about any publicly available preprint has been disclosed at submission; a link or persistent identifier has been provided.
• The manuscript is consistent with the aims and scope of the journal.
• An appropriate type of material has been selected: research article, review article, short communication, technical note, case study, perspective article, editorial article, letter, or another type approved by the editorial office.
• The manuscript has been prepared using the current official Microsoft Word template or, where available, the journal’s LaTeX/Overleaf template.

Copyright Notice

Authors retain copyright and are not required to transfer it to the journal or publisher. Upon publication, they grant the journal and publisher the non-exclusive right of first publication and the rights necessary for the distribution, archiving, indexing, preservation, and maintenance of the article and metadata.

Accepted articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license. Copying, distribution, adaptation, and commercial or non-commercial use are permitted provided that the authors, the original publication, the license, and any changes made are properly acknowledged.

Authors obtain permissions for third-party materials not covered by the article’s license.

The names and email addresses entered in this journal site will be used exclusively for the stated purposes of this journal and will not be made available for any other purpose or to any other party.
